Who is eligible to have an utility audit performed?
Any commercial business, non-profit, municipality, or facility that has been billed a utility expense for at least 1 year.
Can the National Utilities Refund perform an audit by obtaining copies of  one utility bill?
Over 80% of the invoice audits performed by NUR have contained at least some overcharges and errors.  The only way to know if you are being overcharged or if your bills contain errors is to perform an audit by a utility specialist or the overcharges will continue to accrue.
Yes.  We can audit with as little information as a few copies of your utility bills, however these audits tend to be less thorough.  In order to obtain maximum refunds, we will ask to review 36-48 months of utility bill copies and at least 3-6 months of telecom.
How long does the auditing process take?
The auditing process can take between 6-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the client billing.
How much will an audit cost?
Nothing. We will perform the audit for free, all we ask is that we receive a percentage of any of the refunds we find.  If we do not find any refunds or savings you get the satisfaction of knowing your utility expenses are 100% accurate for FREE!
Can my accounts payable department perform the audit?
Utility and telecom charges are coded into several different languages specific to the Industry; therefore, it is virtually impossible to review the bills for accuracy unless the auditor is trained in the field.  Only trained utility specialists who understand how to decode and translate the utility billing language will be able to effectively audit the bills for accuracy and communicate with the utility provider to correct the errors.
Can the National Utilities Refund audit multiple locations?
Yes.  We can audit multiple locations nationally under any utility provider.
How do I know if I am being overcharged or have errors?
Yes.  NUR works close with multiple energy providers and leverages power in order to obtain lower energy rates for your company. We provide energy rates at no cost to our clients. We also are able to provide consulting advice on energy savings products to help reduce energy demands.  *You can also review multiple rates for free at www.nationalenergy.us !
Can the NUR also help decrease my energy rate and expenses?
Will errors not to my favor be reported?
No.  We will not report any errors found that have the potential to increase your utility expenses.  We will notify the client of these errors, however, we strictly audit to benefit the client.
